Surprise visitors

Last weekend we had surprise visitors. Susan and Tay Tay came and spent the night with us. We all had a great time. And just what we needed. We miss you guys so much. Thanks for coming!!!

Busy, Busy, Busy

This is for those of you out there who keep asking why don't I update the blog. Well, we have been in home improvement mode at our house. So far since March, we have landscaped the backyard, put hardwood floor in the living room, adding more landscaping in front yard, and turning a closet into an office. We do have all these projects going on at once, and we haven't completely completed any of them! This is a picture of Dan's dad, Dan, and Andrew doing the floors. Andrew wanted to help so badly! Three generations working together...

Anna's bike

Santa brought Anna a bike for Christmas. Since she rode Andrew's old bike for a year (a boy bike), Santa went overboard with making it girly. Dan says it is the girliest bike he has ever seen. And she is the prissiest bike rider you will ever see!

Easter Egg hunt at chuch

I finally cut my hair off for Beautiful Lengths. I love having it short again. At the egg hunt, they had a great big jumper obstical course. Morgan and I raced. She won and I got hurt. I still have the scar! and humiliation.

Easter 2008

We went to the gardens to take pictures in our Easter clothes. It is so hard to take pictures of kids! After church on Easter, we had friends with no family in town come over and eat. What fun, and what a blessing to have such good friends!

Spring Break

We went to Jackson for Spring Break. We went to Gattitown, bowling, shopping, Natural Science museum, and the park. We were very business, and we didn't even get to call our friends while we were in town (Sorry Jackson friends!). We will do better next time. Cindy and her kids came over for a couple of days. I am so glad we got to see them. My kids love their cousins! We had a great time!

Growing up

We have finished another season of soccer, and moved on to baseball. Dan and I are really glad for soccer to be over. Andrew liked it, and was really good, but baseball is what he is excited about. And Dan is too since he doesn't have to coach! This is the end of the year soccer party. It always surprises me how excited they get about the trophy!

The other day I was driving carpool, and Andrew said something that made the other boy mad and he punched Andrew. Now we have been telling Andrew he has to learn to stand up for himself. Later I asked Andrew if it made him mad that the little boy hit him, and didn't he want to hit him back. He patiently said, Mommy, in chapel we learned about the fruit of the spirit of self-control, and I was just practicing that. I love when God uses our children to teach us lessons!

The Royal Tea Party

I know I haven't posted in a while. It seems life has gotten really busy for us. This is Anna and Josie having a tea party. Grandma loves to make dress up clothes, and Anna loves them! She is such a girl. The other day, she said Mommy, let's pull the weeds. I said that's a great idea. She said Wait, we need our gloves on! I think the only reason she wanted to garden was so she could wear accessories.
