Sweet Mrs. Elizabeth

Anna's old Sunday School teacher that she adores gave Anna and Andrew some toys today that her grandchildren have outgrown. They were so excited! Mrs. Elizabeth is amazing. Her 8 year old granddaughter died suddenly a couple of weeks ago. They still are not sure what caused it. So in the midst of her tragedy, she is still thinking of others. When I saw her today, and asked her how she was doing, she said they only thing that brings her peace is to know that God created her granddaughter only to live 8 years. Her faith is amazing and an inspiration to me. Please keep this family in your prayers.

Andrew's first day of school

Andrew starts his first day of Junior Kindergarten tomorrow. Thursday night we had parent orientation, and Friday morning we had open house. We met the parents and other kids in the class. We are very impressed so far. All the kids except 3 have summer birthdays! Andrew seems excited. Caleb is in his class, so it always helps to know someone! More pictures tomorrow!

Potty Training

So, I have begun to feel the peer pressure of potty training. Everybody else is potty training their child. On Monday I decided to put her in her Dora panties, and see what happens. We put them on at 10:00 am. I set the timer every 10 minutes to take her to the bathroom. After 2 hours. I quit. It was naptime. I told Anna she needed to put on a diaper for naptime. No, she says, I am too big for diapers! Okay, I put a waterproof blanket on her bed. She woke up dry! We go sit on the potty. No tee tee. It has been 5 hours since I put her in the Dora panties, so I begin to worry. I decide to wait her out. At 5:30, 7 1/2 hours later, she comes to tell me her shoes are all wet. I said did you teetee on the Potty! No, she says, I teetee on your kitchen floor. When Dan came home, he was holding her, and she teeteed on him! On Wednesday, Morgan bribed Anna with M&M's and after she teeteed on me, she finally teeteed on potty for the first time! Yea Morgan! Gotta love potty training!

Transformer Birthday Party

For Andrew's party, the boys came in their pajamas! It was a pajama party from 6-9 pm. After all the boys got to the Command Center, they got a message that Decepticon had stole all Andrew's presents! They grabbed their weapon, and went on a treasure hunt to find the gifts! The finally found Decepticon and the gifts, but they had to fight Deceptatron in a ball fight. After defeating him, they went and opened the gifts, ate pizza, cake and ice cream. WE were going to watch the movie outside, but it was too HOT, so we set up camp inside. The boys seem to have fun, but I learned no party should last more than 2 hours!

Happy 5th Birthday Andrew

Andrew has turned 5. It is so hard to believe how fast he is growing up! But he is so excited! This was our family birthday party. All he wanted were transformers, power rangers, and spidermans. We ate his favorite dinner which was tacos, and I let him decorate the cupcakes with his power rangers. While I cooked dinner, Dan, Andrew, and Anna put together the sandbox. After it was built, Anna told her Daddy, " I love your sandbox!"

Anna found this pacy is a basket, and she kept it in her mouth all day long. She hasn't taken a pacy since she was six months old. I thought her pose with Andrew is the making of a great sorority girl!

Big girls

Anna and Josie are getting to be such big girls. Now when they play together they like to paint each other's nails and curl hair! They make me so proud!
