First, I am sorry I don't have a picture for the post, but the Internet crashes every time I try to upload a picture. I know my computer genius husband will fix it for me!
Anyway, the kids and I had a great day yesterday. Wednesday I spent all day getting ready for our garage sale on Saturday (if you live near, come by, I have some great things I am selling); therefore, yesterday I was so soar I could barely move. After laying in bed all morning I decided we needed an outing. First I had to buy gas. Not a great start! Then I needed to go by Andrew a new bat because the $20 one was too heavy, so I had to go buy the $30 so he could hold the bat up and hit the ball! Then Anna needed some summer shoes, so I went and bought her some sandals. I saw Lifeway had their Veggie Tale movie on sale for $5, so I thought the kids need a surprise. I was hungry, and Charley's smelled so good, and I haven't had their potato soup in so long. I convinced the kids we should go on a date at a grown up restaurant (instead of the McDonald's I had originally said). They eargerly agreed (it's all in the presentation). We had a great time, but they didn't like anything they ordered, including dessert! KIDS!
Then we took Andrew to get his haircut, and on to baseball practice. The new bat worked! He hit almost every ball!
We had a great day, and I am so thankful for my wonderful kids. Yesterday was one of those days I thoroughly enjoyed their company. I had to post so I can remember this day when I go back and scrapbook!
